What is a scoop?
We sell our bulk products by the scoop (bucket on our skid/steer loaded). The bucket is a ½ cubic yard water level. When we load, the bucket is heaped to at least 2/3 cubic yard for mulches, slightly less for sands and soils and a little less for gravels. Gravels heap up the least.
Compare prices and you will see our price is less than suppliers selling by the cubic yard. Our bucket is the largest size available to conveniently load customer's pickup trucks.
